Michael Ann's Story
Life
I now live just south of Seattle - have been in Washington since 1980 and I love Puget Sound. I have 6 grandsons ages almost 17 - 10. They keep us hopping. Divorced in 1987. Rick & I have been together for almost 25 years now. I finally made it back to college and got my BA in Recreation Admin/Therapy.
I started my own consulting company in Spring 2009 - do training on issues related to elders and writing books and magazine articles. Get to travel around the country for professional reasons, speaking at conferences, etc. and that is fun - love to fly, even after 9/11. Still love...Expand for more
music, sewing, crafts, reading, playing on the computer, being with family, and I stay busy with several volunteer organizations.
Started working for the Alzheimer's Association as a Dementia Trainer in January 2010 and I am having a ball doing it. I became the lead trainer and now do the majority of the public presentations and training. This takes me to 23 of the 33 counties in WA, so on the road a good deal. Our office is in downtown Seattle, so I have an ugly commute on the days I go in. It is beautiful here, though, and I never get tired of looking at Mt. Rainier in its moods.
